"We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing
this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves."
- 2nd Corinthians 4:7

"It was definitely really awesome being counselor this year. To see kids really growing and learning
about God was so encouraging to me. I just hope that we will keep the fire burning for Him and strive
to be a servant for Him."

"I learned alot from the speaker, my small group, and workshop~~ God solved my problems ~and my
faith grew stronger."

" I think shocco is a really good place for me to worship...especially when its with a lot of chinese
people....and the prayer night is really a good thing to have....even though I get upset when that
moment comes....I also think its a good chance for me to learn to make friends! "

"This was probably the most hectic shocco of all the ones I've been to, but even so, it was fun and
mostly relaxing. It was great just hanging out with friends and playing games, and learning about God."

"During the brokenness message, i started thinking about my life and how serving God was one
of the things I wanted to do in my life. When the speaker asked us to raise our hands to have a
prayer said for us about being broken... I raised my hand. During that prayer, I felt my heart break
and I stared to cry. I was like this is amazing... I never thought I could feel this way."

Shocco 2007 was more than anyone could've expected. With speaker Andrew Meng, we explored
the inner soul of ourselves. What drives us? What do we want to prove? Who are we? What masks
do we wear? What do we thirst for?

With certain circumstances arising, such as the speaker being delayed by airplane problems, and
scheduling conflicts, staff, counselors, and youth alike realized that God does not run on our
schedule, rather we run on His. Many of us were challenged, questioned, and broken on this short
2 day 3 night experience.

Through sharing we heard peoples' struggles, peoples' testimonies, and how God had made himself
known to people. Praise God for all those who dedicated their lives to Christ, those who rededicated
their life to Christ, and those who are heading to the front line for Him. The journey is nowhere near
easy, but it is most definitely worth it.

We found that to love other people, you must first love and accept yourself, who you are, and what
your significance is in relation to the world, and to God. Most of all, we realized that God's love is
unconditional. His acceptance is unconditional. His salvation is unconditional. What more do we need
than that? It is not earned. It can't be earned. It's given, and all we have to do is receive.
